Miss Suzie had a baby she named him Tiny Tim
The old school nursery chant rang through the halls of the elementary school as small hands met other small hands in clapping motions to go along with the tune.
Footsteps echoed, heavy against the tiled floors as they moved down an empty corridor slowly. The owned of the boots was a male, age approximately twenty-three to twenty-seven. His hair was dark, the brown almost appearing black even in the strange school lighting. Brown eyes were hidden behind sunglasses, but had they been shown they would have held the look of the devil.
His left hand was in his pocket, clutching something unknown to the teachers that were behind their locked classroom doors and the students that ran around outside beyond the wide open doors.
Their playful laughter continued to drown out anything else, which could be taken in a good or bad manner depending on whom one was.
She put him in the bathtub to see if he could swim
A second set of footsteps, more hurried than the first pair, jogged quickly down another hall, searching for a classroom to check something that he knew was wrong. He stopped in the doorway of the small room, eyes darting around the empty place before he turned and again picked up his pace.
A small curse escaped from his breath as he moved past the first man, whom he paid little to no attention to. His gait was swift, his black hair combed neatly away from his face even as he jogged.
He drank up all the water, he ate up all the soap
Bursting through the door, Michael Creswell looked around quickly, searching for his daughter and niece, both around the age of eight. He spotted the one girl, his own dark-haired daughter, swinging by herself at the far end of the playground.
He tried to eat the bathtub but it wouldnt go down his throat
Turning slightly to walk towards her, his eyes scanned the rest of the children, searching for the other child quickly. Ciel. His Spanish was abrupt, causing the girl to stop and look up, her feet dragging in the sand.
Taking her hand, Michael pulled her across the playground, talking briskly in his native language as he searched desperately for the other child. ¿Dónde está Avery?
The small girl pointed in the direction of a small group of girls, her hand small and slightly shaking as her father dragged her through the students in a hurry.
Miss Suzie called the doctor, the doctor called the nurse...
Avery! He placed a hand on her forehead carefully, smiling down at the child when she looked up, her blue eyes gleaming with the intelligence of both her parents. Come with me.
Without protest the child stood up, and Michael looked up to meet the eyes of the man he had passed in the hallway, his own eyes widening slightly. Now. Spinning on his heel, he pushed the children in one direction, his pace once more hurried.
The nurse called the lady with the alligator purse
Gunfire erupted. Short bursts flying from the end of a Mac-10 submachine gun and over the heads of startled children.
Measles said the doctor, mumps said the nurse
Michael cringed, ducking his head and muttering a small prayer for the children behind him as he turned the corner and hurried the kids into the parking lot, cringing when the scream of a child was cut short behind him.
Nothing said the lady with the alligator purse
